The Owner/Provider
Ashley Mikels, LCSW
Welcome! I am excited to offer therapy and support services throughout the State of Wyoming. As a therapist, I enjoy working with adults and children of all ages. I have a strong background in trauma and crisis intervention services, goal-setting and empowerment, and emotional regulation. I value a comprehensive approach, recognizing that our physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual health all have an impact on our well-being. I genuinely look forward to meeting with clients and supporting them through change and self-discovery.
I am grateful for the opportunities I have had in my 15+ years in social work. Initially, I was blessed to work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and be a part of their journey forward. Following, I worked in early childhood education, which proved to be fun and rewarding. In grad school, I focused my studies on family therapy, allowing me to work with people of all ages and backgrounds. I supported youth in foster care and in the juvenile justice system during difficult transitions. Licensed as a therapist since 2018, I especially enjoy working with women and men who have previously had a difficult experience with therapy and children ages 3-6, though I am fascinated by people in every stage of life and welcome all.
In my own pursuit of wellness, I enjoy traveling, yoga, breathwork, walking/hiking, journaling, and puzzles of all kinds. I also love music! I was born and raised in Casper and am very familiar with the Casper community, including resources, supports, and local activities. I look forward to meeting you and working together to help you achieve your goals.

THE PRACTICE
THE SPACE WITHIN, LLC
The space within can refer to a philosophical or spiritual inner sanctuary of peace, awareness, and potential or a physical space to create personal time and well-being by pushing out external pressures. It implies a deeper, less external reality or a mindful separation from external chaos to foster inner clarity and well-being.
